Day 1: Arrival in Venice
Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport and take a private transfer to your hotel. Spend a leisurely afternoon strolling through Piazza San Marco, visiting St. Mark’s Basilica, and enjoying a coffee at Caffè Florian. For a classic Venetian experience, take an optional gondola ride along the Grand Canal. Overnight in Venice.
Day 2: Exploring Venice
Begin your day with a visit to the Doge’s Palace and cross the Bridge of Sighs. Walk through the Rialto Market and admire the iconic Rialto Bridge. Spend time exploring the charming districts of Cannaregio or Dorsoduro. In the evening, enjoy a scenic sunset vaporetto ride along the Grand Canal followed by dinner at a traditional Venetian trattoria. Overnight in Venice.
Day 3: Venice – Bologna – Florence
Take a morning train or private transfer to Bologna, a journey of approximately two hours. Explore the city's highlights, including Piazza Maggiore, the Two Towers, and the historic food markets. Enjoy lunch featuring regional delicacies like tagliatelle al ragù before continuing to Florence, which takes about one and a half hours. Spend the evening at leisure in Florence. Overnight in Florence.
Day 4: Exploring Florence
Start your day with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, ensuring tickets are pre-booked to avoid long lines. Explore the Duomo complex, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery. Cross the Ponte Vecchio to visit the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. Day 5: Exploring Tuscany: San Gimignano and Siena
Drive or take a guided tour to San Gimignano, which is about an hour away. Explore its medieval towers and taste the famous Vernaccia wine before continuing to Siena, a 45-minute drive. Visit Piazza del Campo and the Siena Cathedral while wandering through the charming streets. Return to Florence in the evening. Overnight in Florence.
Day 6: Florence – Cortona – Perugia
Depart in the morning for Cortona, a journey of about one and a half hours. Explore the historic center and take in stunning views of the Valdichiana. Continue to Perugia, which is about an hour away, and visit the historic center, Fontana Maggiore, and Rocca Paolina. Enjoy a local Umbrian dinner. Overnight in Perugia.
Day 7: Exploring Umbria: Spello – Spoleto – Assisi
Drive to Spello, which takes about 30 minutes, and explore its medieval charm and colorful flower-lined streets. Continue to Spoleto, a 40-minute drive, to visit Ponte delle Torri and the Duomo di Spoleto. Head to Assisi, also about 40 minutes away, to visit the Basilica of St. Francis and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Return to Perugia in the evening. Overnight in Perugia.
Day 8: Perugia – Orvieto – Civita di Bagnoregio – Rome
Drive to Orvieto, approximately an hour away, and visit its stunning cathedral and underground caves. Continue to Civita di Bagnoregio, which is about 40 minutes away, to explore the enchanting “dying city.” Arrive in Rome in the evening after a journey of around one and a half hours. Overnight in Rome.
Day 9: Exploring Classical Rome
Begin the day with visits to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Explore Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Museums before walking to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. Enjoy a classic Roman dinner in Trastevere. Overnight in Rome.
Day 10: Exploring Vatican City
